Handwoven textiles made with local and natural fibers
Made in Bergen, Norway
Weaving is a time-consuming and repetative craft. Its all about construction, grids, colours, materials, and maybe most of all, a connection between our body, mind and the tectile world.
I think that crafts in general plays an important role both in the past, the present and in the future. In a world ruled by a strong digital evolution, it’s essential that we keep in touch with our useful materials, techniques and nature. And I think this can be done through crafts.
I only work with natural fibers for all my work, and its important for me to source my materials as local as possible. My favourite materials is norwegian lambswool and linen. These materials can be used both seperately but also together, which makes a very strong and durable fabric.
My studio is located in Bergen, Norway, where I currently have one floor-loom which I use for all my work. The studio is based in a part of my fathers furniture-workshop.
